HORIZON/you hold my shape is the first iteration of a large-scale video installation, performance, and sculpture series, as conceived by yétúndé ọlágbajú. This exhibition includes family photographs and written words by the artist’s parents. ọlágbajú’s father is from Ilé-Ifẹ̀ where, according to Yoruba tradition, a Golden Chain was said to have dropped, leading to the creation of humans.

Join us for a free, all ages reception on Saturday, July 30, 7–9 PM PST as we celebrate the opening of HORIZON/you hold my shape. This program features a performance by yétúndé ọlágbajú alongside:

This event requires all guests to wear masks and present proof of full COVID–19 vaccination. Food and drink will not be served at this event.

Those who are unable to receive the COVID–19 vaccination must bring a negative PCR test taken 48 hours prior to the day of event. 

If you currently have COVID–19/Monkeypox symptoms, tested for positive, or have been around anyone who tested positive for COVID-19/Monkeypox, we ask that you do not attend this event.
