About the exhibition
Hummingbird’s Return | Antepasados Conmigo
Geneva Guerra was a lifelong caretaker who helped raise the artist and imparted wisdom in conversation daily, while Socorro Gonzalez was a singer whose music inspired the artist and reminded him where he came from.
The process of printmaking has served as a survival tool used to alchemize the pain and grief of loss into altars of commemoration. The wish is to remember and celebrate those who came before by bridging the gap between past and present in mind, body and spirit.
Sean M. Guerra‘s exhibition is on view from September 15 – November 3, 2023
