Curated By Kathy Zarur & Roula Seikaly

May 3, 2018 thru

 July 24, 2018

Kicking off Asian Pacific Heritage Month and the United States of Asian America Festival with a group visual art exhibition and performances in San Francisco.

Co-presented by Kearny Street Workshop and the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) and curated by Kathy Zarur and Roula Seikaly, Betweenscapes interrogates the spaces between colonial power and indigenous resistance, diaspora and homeland, us and them, here and there. Betweenscapes presents the work of 14 artists that visualize the in-between as a site of criticality, addressing unresolved histories and posing questions about colonialism, migration, and transnational solidarity.

Opening with a free public reception on Thursday, May 3, 6:00–9:00 pm, Betweenscapes will be on view at SOMArts through Thursday, May 24. For more information, visit www.apiculturalcenter.org/betweenscapes.

Betweenscapes is presented at SOMArts as part of our Rental Program. For more information on affordable rental programs at SOMArts, visit www.somarts.org/rentals.
