About the exhibition

My Itemized Pink Home

Nathalie O’Brien’s current body of work explores possessions and how they interact with identity, home, and ancestry. She uses a mixture of figurative and still life painting techniques to explore how personal possessions and loved ones are essential to one’s home environment. The artist believes that a home is created by the people who live in it and the objects they brought to the space, whether it’s collected or passed down. Her creative process varies, she works with acrylic paint and glitter glue, creating medium to large scale paintings on canvas and wood panels, ranging from creating collages in her sketchbook for figurative paintings, to taking pictures of her possessions for her still life paintings.

Nathalie’s exhibition is on view from December 12, 2021February 7, 2022
